Oh boy. Did we get an easy group to showcase our beautiful play and cruise to the first place securing a simple qualification run into the Euro 2012 or did we get an easy group to mess things up big time unable to breach double-decker buses placed inside the goal area?
At first glance it might look like we got it made. Ok at second glance it still looks that way. But… (there’s always a “but” lurking in the shadows) looking back at the last qualifiers we had for this year’s world cup it becomes obvious most of our adversaries play a very tight defensive game (I like to think mighty Portugal simply inspires extreme caution). We haven’t done to well with it have we? Ok we did make it to South-Africa but by the skin of our teeths!

Next Sunday (Feb-7) we will know our adversaries qualifying for the Poland-Ukraine Euro 2012.
As current 7th in UEFA’s ranking we are seeded in the first pot and even if we do avoid some very potent soccer powers there are still a couple of monsters lurking in pots 2 and 3.
