Domenech: Portugal is no surprise
In his morning press conference, French coach Raymond Domenech cautioned against taking Portugal lightly. “I’m not surprised at all that they made it this far,” he commented. “Since the beginning I thought this team (Portugal) have something special. They work hard and know how to negate their opponent’s game. They also have exceptionally talented players.”
Asked to comment on Scolari, Domenech joked, “I don’t know much about him, but hasn’t he won a World Cup already?”
Thanks for the respect Raymond. France is a class act, as you proved in your victory over Brazil.
Força Portugal!

When Ronaldo plays for Manchester United. He’s your guys’ HERO.
When Ronaldo plays AGAINST the English. He’s a Cheater.
When Beckham cried after he got injured you guys called him a HERO.
When Ronaldo cried after that ugly Dutch guy deliberately injured him you guys called him a cry baby and that he was just acting.
Well guess what folks. We don’t care what you ENGLISH LOSERS THINK..
“PLEASE READ…….. “I’m English. I blame other People for my loss” POST.
That summarizes your guys’ ignorance.
Don’t you guys go to school over there?? Are you guys really dumb?? I mean Rooney is AMAZINGLY dumb. Why would he push Ronaldo in front of the Referee.
I believe that ROoney and Beckham are THE ACTORS. But they’re TOOO Dumb that they cant WIN any games WHILE ACTING.
Like Beckham pretended he got injured because he knew they were going to lose so he might as well be off the field.
And then Rooney knew that he sucked so much…he’s been in the field for 62 minutes and didnt score one pathetic goal…that HE DECIDED. To get RED CARDEd. pushing ROnaldo was all an act. he just wanted to BLAME someone else which is RONALDO …for your guys’ loss.

part portuguese/ part asian :
hehehehehehehe lol
well put

come on you dopes, haven’t you visited other team blogs? everyone seems to hate everybody.
faking and diving have become part of this sport. fifa loves people like you taking all this fakery seriously because it only adds more passion to an already over-passionated sport.
no one can say how the ‘morrow will go. whoever wins has to finally get past cannavaro and his gang. that is going to prove very difficult.
good footaball ahead. forca/allez both teams!

pee,
small knockers and knickers in a knot – eh? this just in: japan, australia, the african continent and england are OUT!
all places, apparently your great skills have got you homes in.
sweetmeat, stop picking on these lads, most of them are one/third your age and some of them lack language skills.
why not bring your brand of nonsense to the guardian blog? have alerted some of the nasties there, we’re ready for a real one on one.
ps: do kick independently rich hubby’s balls in each home you possess. then report on results. we will chip in for the ice packs if necessary.
now, can we talk footballs?
as in porugal/france/vs italy. it’s a really exciting time, if you’re a real fan.

P- Please stop being dense….. we don’t like you (that is all 50 million of us) please take it to heart and go away Are all English people like you? I know a few who would love to shove something in your mouth to just shut you up!!
Anyway, Italy played a briliant game last night. Germany put up a brilliant fight and my heart went out to the German Fans, it sucks to loose.
Tonight is the night, win or loose Portugal deserve to be there. As for the English who think that Renaldo is going to be picked on in by his English Club, well “what ever turns your dial”. I doubt very much that his English team mates have the same narrow and pathetic views as their fans.
Renaldo, hold your head high you are going to make it big.
Forca Portugal

Minhoca, you make an interesting point: someone’s always got to be the villain and I guess you should take heart from the fact that Portugal have made enough of an impact to stir up this kind of attention.
By the way, anyone got a translation of Artur’s poem? My Portuguese ain’t that strong…

What a wonderful pgame yesterday.
I pray that win or loose the game tonight will be of the same caliber. Hope Portugal will do the dancing and France the crying – but if is us crying, so be it!
Now, on England Portugal:
All England has to show for themselves is a world cup in 66 after a fake penalty against Portugal in the semi-finals and a shameful game against Germany in the final.
Portaugal was at that semi-final; but also:
Won two under 21 world titles;
Two European cup semi-finals having lost twice to France – one deservedly one after a fake penalty. And one European final having lost to Greece.
Not much? Not bad at all – especially when compared with you know whom…
Força Portugal – até à final!

Luís, how do you add the flag?

Its not Portugal vs France but Portugal vs Zidane.
And the one man army Zidane is going to beat the crap outta them with a little help from the rest).
You will see how one ageing balding man can utterly humiliate a team.
That winker Ronaldo should learn from Zidane how to showboat his tricks for the benefit of a team and not for self glory.
And for heavens sake – cry when u lose in a penalty shootout – not otherwise!
France 3 – 1 Portugal

In the world there are believers and then there are non-believers. For all of you non-believers out there, I have something to say to you…never underestimate the heart of a champion.
We play together, we win together; We lose together, We stay together.
Whether we win or lose tonight, well done PORTUGAL, you are already champions in my heart and in the hearts of your nation…
So all of you who have nothing good to say “It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.”
Forca Portugal!!!!

P- Outplayed? You wish doll!
Outclassed? In your wildest dreams!!
Payback?? well correct me if I am wrong, but was England on that field last night? that is what I thought.
We did not win that game, but we won just the same and that is all that is important………….no wait, I forgot……….WE BEAT ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now that is by far more important than anything else.
Good luck Italy in the Final!! I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all those nice male read ends on my TV and in 2010……………….hey P I will look for you here in South Arica, would be nice to meet you!
Ciao Ciao P
Forca Portugal, well played and well tried, go forth and beat Germany just for the hell of it!! Third place is nothing to cry about

Hey Guida P always makes an ass of herself time and time again it never fails. Just like her beloved team who can’t shoot..She thinks we have already qualified for 2010, I think that’s a sign o howf good she really thinks are is.. She just can not accept defeat., thus a true sore looser.

sorry I mean’t to say how good she really thinks we are.

Hey Sky,
Thanks hey and I so agree, but do you think that this silly English fan gets it????? I have said it before and I will say it again, come on this site and run our team and our country and our beautiful people, not to mention our beloved languagedown; you will be dealt with.
I am glad that Luis is sensoring this riff raff from the site as it only sets continental blood boiling.
But it was nice to stand with all of you guys on this site and to feel connected in some way to my people.
See you in 2010.
Guida

i live in england and im very proud to be portuguese and very proud for portugal to came ware we are the best 4.well as for the criticism we have i dont give a mankeys because is alljealous because they wish they had a maniche a figo a ricardo and a lovelly ronaldo in their team and all this proves how civilised this country is .as for rooney he disgustes me he stumps in someones manhood and he goes and pushes ronaldo and now they blaming ronaldo wath a disgrace and wath a message he sends to all the english watching the match violence.forca portugal at least we can score penalties and defend them eu peco a todos os portugueses para erguerem a cabeca e sentirem se orgulhosos com o nosso pais e com portugal.

ALECCIA
I feel so sorry for you.
How can you live in england????
They are sooooooooooooo PATHETIC.
They blame RONALDO for everything. Like because Ronaldo is SOOOO powerful he somehow told the referee to give rooney a red card oh and also he told ROONEY to PUSH him in front of the referee…Geez.
Zidane head butted Materazzi but you don’t hear the FRENCH blaming Materazzi. Unlike the stupid english people who blamed the one who got pushed. The fench showed true sportmanship.
