Italy it is

July 5th, 2006 | By: Luis | 40 Comments »

We know one finalist in World Cup 2006. If Portugal successfully eliminates France tomorrow, we will face a highly organized team with a very deep bench. Congratulations to the Azzurri. You wore down your opponent and killed off the game when it mattered most. Germany put in a fantastic performance and should also be congratulated for the World Cup as a whole.

We face two giants on our way to our ultimate objective, but we knew we had the toughest path to the final. Tomorrow it’s all business.

Força Portugal!

I can’t explain a single tactics in soccer but I love Cristiano ronaldo. He floats over the green and puzzles his opponents

Scolari is very clever. The team is playing like this is the unique moment of their careers. Quite amazing.
The last two loses to France were quite difficult. That game in 84 on the semis in France (3-2), one of the best games ever on European Cup. And that “robbery” in 2000 with a penalti that was forced all over.

Now, where’s Scolari clever? He gave today France the lead as the ones that must win. Inside work is “this is no revenge time. This is time to play and have fun. You guys are so much better. Just Do It. As you know!”.
Zidane is playing amazingly? Ys he is. France have one Zidane. We have one Figo and one Deco.
France have a Ribery? We have a Ronaldo. France have a Vieira? We have a Costinha. They have a Gallas? We have a Ricardo Carvalho.
Oh yes…forgot Makelele.

Oh, wait. Maniche is playing too.
They have a Barthez? We have a Super Ricardo.

So come on guys. Where the hell France is SO MUCH BETTER? Blahhh

Will be close? Yes, for sure it will.

I’m just doubting one thing. If our team will have THE FORCE to come back from a negative result. They never found themselves losing a game.
I trust they will.
And if they will come back from a goal against tomorrow, I know no one, i mean, no one will stop this squad in the final. (by the way, loved Italy todat, well done!)

Cheerrs football lovers.
Tomorrow Portugal will show to the world the magician of the Portuguese Football.

And the top of it all, will be find out that Pauleta will finally appear on the championship, scoring against France. He loves to score when France is the Country.

Remember who closed the Portugal-England head-to-head and sent Englad home? Exactly :) ))

Legio I Italica destroyed the German barbarians and are marching victorius towards Berlin. Legion IX Lusitana under the command of Iulius Figus is engaging the enemy tommorow with orders to destroy Carthage and punish Hannibal. Will we have a Pax Romana on Sunday in Berlin or will Hannibal try and upset the natural order of things?
For my part I hear the legions marching. Ave Roma!

Why are the French favorites to win this game. Doesn’t make sense to me as we went through the nasty play of the Dutch and English and give them a beaten.

Besides we have Ronaldo, the French don’t. You always have a chance to win a game with Ronaldo on our side. Ronaldo has yet to turn it on and I believe he will this game as his confidence is now off the charts.

I believe that everyone is underestimating Portugal and ultimately that will be the French team’s undoing.

Portugal match up very well with all aspects of the French game and we have a very good game along the flanks that matches up well against the French defense.

Everyone knows that the British defense is very good and when they played everyone behind the ball, even with 10 men it was hard to do anything.

I’m sick of hearing all of the BS about diving this, unfair that, rough play this. All of the haters need to stick it where the son doesn’t shine. The fact is that Portugal is in the semi finals and “insert your nation here other than Italy” are not. Go cry somewhere else.

Tomorrow we win.
Forca Portugal !!

The Dutch and English though if they played physical the Portuguese players would lose thier head like in past games. They underestimated our toughnest and we gave them a terrible beaten.

I revise it:

The fact is that Portugal is in the semi finals and “FRANCE” are.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

WHEN France beats you to a pulp tomorrow, you’ll know well what a third-rate country Portugal really is, with a bunch of cheating, conniving, lying wankers!

I thought Germany played a good tournament towards the end, but have to admit that I’m glad that their home field advantage has not been taken away. Whoever plays in the final will now be on equal footing, as far as fans in the stands go.

I think Portugal can do this today. It will be a tough game, but I think we have the flair to take us over the top. Forca Portugal!

This diving stuff is the worst excuse from all the bad-performing teams. Hey idiots, there are four refereers in the stadium – one with a TV. If some of you say that we are diving (I remember many of you, pathethic losers, inventing similar excuses in the Euro 2004 for Portugal and Greece), you are saying that either the referees and your players are very stupid, or Portuguese players are very smart. I guess that, although some of this may be true, the real truth is that this is a myth and you are a bunch of losers whose pathethic lives lost a lot of meaning when your team lost. If, I say If, we get beaten today that will not make your weak exhibition better, being happy for that is a very clear sign of your weak spirit! I hope that the best team wins. Força Portugal.

I just don’t understand how the people atack the portuguese players and after defend players (that I like too) like Henry (diving) and Zidane (red cards and agressions in WC games).

It’s sad to listen less than 24 hours from the game a player like Gallas in the press conference saying all that sh!t about portuguese players knowing what the team mates do when teir are in the pitch.

We are a small country and the image that we have of this WC is that England and France are affraid of us and just make great pression upon the referees before the games.

I would just love to see C. Ronaldo or Deco or Figo scoring a goal and then all the team run to a side of the pitch and dive (all the players). You know, I loved to see when Fowler after a goal that he scored put in his knees and snifed the white line of the pitch cause were saying that he consume cocaine.

Portugal 15 – 0 France

Portuguese players spent quite a good time on the grass whining whenever air blow on them too hard. I only hope that this game is more sport and less crap like that. Pls, for the sake of the sport!

And for the result, I think if Zidane keeps at it like the last game, French can make it to the final. Portugal would do good to have that dude well covered, and then the laterals could get a shot of overthrowing the frenc and getting to the final
