U guys need to stop worrying about the fact that he is brazilian. so what? wut u should pay attention to is his ability to score goals, something that the Portuguese national team has trouble doing. I am a die hard Sporting C.P. fan and the young midfielder Joao Moutinho is going to be a great addition to the portuguese team, but they lack depth in the forward position. and lets face it, helder postiga had an awful world cup campaign. Without a doubt Liedsons scoring ability is what is needed and he is the PERFECT option for Portugal!

I agree that Gomes should get first. But we should foucs on one or 2 other strikers for the long tear. We lack there and i think we could have gone further without Pauleta. After the 3rd game he should have been on the side.

don´t do it…
not more brasilian players in the portuguese team! deco is more than enough… I know they play well and they can help the team,but… they are not portuguese and none sheet of paper will change that! lets left the Portuguese selection for the true Portuguese players!

this might be a gud idea, im kinda 70-30 on it,i mean ppl prob had reservation abt deco doing the same thing but luk how thts turned out, ok he wernt tht great in the world cup but tht was cos of an injury, but i think it cud b gud if liedson played 4 portugal, but still i think gomes shud b given 1st choice.

It would kinda suck if Portugal became the Brazillian ‘B team’. If he doesn’t think of himself as portugese he shouldn’t play for the team.

I dont like Liedson’s style. Im not sure he would be the best guy to play as a lone forward but if anyone else disagrees then I might be biased because of his style.

BTW, doesnt he love diving?
