Luis, that explanation doesn't satisfy ME. :-) He STILL sets off my gay-dar.

Great quote from this article on <a href="http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/article1434444.ece" rel="nofollow">Ronaldo and his most recent magic at Fulham</a>.

"Before the kick-off, one heard a six-year-old boy gasp at the sight of Ronaldo. After that, grown men had shown him how to behave badly by constantly shouting “Cheat!” whenever Ronaldo went to ground, even when the foul tackles were crystal-clear. The second boy, the pensioner Ferguson, was left dancing at the end and nobody contradicted his joy."

Laurie - I never said he didn't strut. :-) Don't we all tune-in to watch him strut? About the gay thing, I usually tell my American friends, "He's not gay, he's just European!" For some reason, that explanation seems to satisfy them.

Carlos - no kidding. Ronaldinho better keep his shirt on until he's back in shape. Can't believe I'm in better shape then Ronaldinho. I don't have his moves, but I don't have his gut either. :-) Benfica can win the UEFA Cup if they stay in form.

A pretty difficult task for Braga, but Benfica can beat PSG at least at home easily, and we all know that Simão is already a far better player than Pauleta.

BTW, you must have a look at some recent Ronaldinho photos, he's grown nearly as fat as Ronaldo! Barcelona can be really happy about having Deco in their squad because without him, I couldn't have stopped myself from laughing at their performance in the 2nd half!

Luis, I'm in the process of watching Lille and ManU. I'm only about ten minutes into it -- I figure I'll work my way through it over the weekend.

But the one thing I have to say is: Oh. My. Gosh. The Pretty Ronaldo is SO setting off my gay-dar!! He completely has that good-looking gay guy strut.

(Sorry, you know it's true.) ;-)

That penalty shootout was not only extremelly exciting (and nice) :-), it was also a record! ;-)

Have no clue about what Henry could possibly have said to CR...

SL Benfica, now to play PSG - which will oppose Simao and Pauleta; AND SC Braga has also reached the UEFA Cup last 16 and will play against Tottenham! Braga now under former PT international, (and FC Porto symbol), Jorge Costa, who got yesterday his first victory as a coach.

Just a quick note to add that it still makes me smile and jump up and down to watch the replays of the penalty shoot-out between Portugal and England. It was just so sweet and the 2006 FIFA World Cup film gives a fairly good (if slightly pro-English) overview of the game.

Well...here is my most off topic and random post yet!! I was just watching the 2006 FIFA World Cup Film and noticed Henry talking to Ronaldo after the France v Portugal game and I was just wondering if anyone knows what was said. I know this is random but I am just curious for interest sake. Also congrats to Porto, Benfica, Braga and Man United for thier European successes (or half successes) this week! Hopefully Ronaldo didn't do himself too much harm with the ole waterbottle kick!
