Quinta-Feira Question Time: In-N-Out (Not the Burgers, Unfortunately)
I know I asked a question with the “Team of 2010 Tuesday” bit this week, but Quinta-Feira is a time for questions as far as I’m concerned. Therefore, I will wield my universally recognized and feared blogging powers to bring you the following for consideration as you wind down the rest of your Quinta-Feira:
While we don’t even have a boss yet to take us into the 2010 World Cup, I’m asking you all to do some minor team retouching and time traveling. I’m aware that new people will emerge and injuries will be a factor, however, consider this past 2008 Euro Selecção and the faux-hawk, mullet sporting boys we’re going to take to South Africa in two years. Now ask yourself, if you had to bet, who are three names you’re sure won’t be on the plane to the Land of Mandela and who are three you’re sure will be enjoying the peanuts and soft drinks? Cristiano doesn’t count here.
If I had to guess on three “sure bets” for both categories I’d say:
In: Pepe, João Moutinho, and Nani.
Out: Simão, Petit, and Ricardo.
Kiss Kiss, see you tomorrow.

completely agree…. maybe add Bruno Gama? and we need someone to replace Ferriera in defence…

I hope Gama keeps improving. I frigging love his game and think he’s so anti-prototypical of the Portuguese midfielder.

I agree with that Greg. As long as Simao does not wear another Portuguese jersey, I’ll be happy. Also, if Quaresma joins a big club, I could see him becoming a big deal come 2010.

Without Ricardo do you expect Quim to get the gloves or do you think Rui Patricio has the potential to start by that point?

Out: MOutinho, Pepe, C Ronaldo
In: Simao, Conceicao, Rui Costa
Maybe give Figo another go so he can flush his career down the toilet in a three second span again.

Out: Ricardo, Petit, Gomes
In: Nani, Quaresma, Moutinho
I think some new faces may get in depending on the new coach. Gama has already been mentioned and I really like his game also. Then there is Pele who has been impressing in Italy and I think he may get in.

Out: Ricardo
Never never again.
