The ranking system is somewhat suspect but it is still nice to see Portugal so rightly recognized as one of the best teams in the world. The Top ten are: 1. Italy 2. Argentina 3. Brazil 4. France 5. I personally think that Carvalho might also have warranted at least a nomination as he held together the Chelsea back line when it was on the verge of falling apart and totally derailing their season but I guess defenders tend to be overlooked. In any case CR fully deserves not only the nomination but also to win the trophy. Congrats to him and to all other Portuguese players across the continent who made (and will continue to make) us proud this season!
