The other’s week

May 6th, 2006 | By: Luis Paulo | No Comments »

Every week, we take a quick look in how our opponents are doing, hoping to see their biggest star involved in some kind of unbelievable scandal. While they are not, we take our time to at least get to know them better.

Angola – After thrashing Mauritius 5-1 last Saturday, the Angolans continued their World Cup preparation with a convincing 3-1 win over Lesotho on the COSAFA Cup. But there is some bad news in Angola too. Neither Pedro Emanuel nor Chainho will be allowed by FIFA to play this World Cup for Angola.

Iran – While the Iranians are dealing with their player’s injuries, they are also worried about their security in Germany.

Mexico – Mexico continued their preparation defeating Venezuela in a friendly. I have no doubt that Mexico will be the most prepared team in this World Cup with 2 months training and a lot of friendly games.
