Kiko, who would have thought Portugal losing the European cup finals against Greece two years ago? And there is always one surprising African team in the worldcup, this time maybe Angola.

If you are South Korean or Turkish, you would say that the 2002 World Cup was anything but boring. Having "lesser" teams advance raises the profile of the World Cup (and football in general) in countries where football may not be the dominant sport. Besides, Brazil didn't beat Turkey by much to make it to the final. The final was more of a snore than the Brazil - Turkey semi.

Unlikely to happen now that Angolan players are all getting injured. There is also the fact that Pedro Emanuel might not be given permission to play for them. If they do beat Portugal with the squad they have, the WC will be very interesting.

Could Portugal win it's old colony?
Angola beats Portugal - that can be a juicy surprise of the World Cup. What do you think.

I prefer a combination, first easy and then hard, it gives the national side far more credibility.
