Games Televised in North America

For those in North America, and are not yet aware…….

In the United States, this is especially wonderful. Coverage of football on any given level is limited, although it is getting better - albeit slowly.

Soccer United Marketing (SUM), will be presenting all 64 games in the United States. These matches will be broadcasted in English, and viewed with standard definition, or you can opt for high definition, which will incur extra cost. The games will be seen live or through short tape delay, on networks: ESPN, ESPN II, and ABC.

TSN, CTV, and Rogers Sportnet in Canada, will broadcast live, a combined 64 games in English, while RDS will show all 64 games in French, either live or short tape delay.

Univision will air 56 games, and TeleFutura 8 games, all games live, in Spanish, and available in standard definition only. There will be no commercial interruptions during play.

KBS World will offer 56 games live and 8 games on short tape delay, in Korean. The games via KBS are standard definition only.

And here is a good schedule for US TV: http://www.worldcup2006ontv.com

No portuguese commentary available, though. I wish Globo would show the cup.
