Portugal gives Chinese fan a heart attack

It sounds like we’re not the only ones suffering with the ups and downs of our selecção. The Chinese media has reported that a man in the city of Qingdao suffered an apparent heart attack after witnessing one of Portugal’s thunderous crossbar shots against Angola. He was rushed to hospital where he is now out of danger.

Hmnn…I’ve had a few moments where I thought my heart would stop, but a full cardiac arrest? Well, maybe it had to do with the fact that the 42 year old drank excessive amounts of alcohol and hadn’t slept in nearly three days. Because of the time difference, the games are broadcast in China starting at 9PM with the last match not getting underway until 3AM.

Get some sleep man. We’re all glad that the World Cup party is so rockin’, but you can’t enjoy it if you’re dead.
