The other’s week

April 29th, 2006 | By: Luis Paulo | No Comments »

Every week, we take a quick look in how our opponents are doing, hoping to see their biggest star involved in some kind of unbelievable scandal. While they are not, we take our time to at least get to know them better.

Angola – Angola is preparing for the COSAFA Cup. For those of you who, like me, had never heard about COSAFA before, it means: Confederation of the Southern Africa Football Association. It’s a nice opportunity to learn more about Angola although they are not playing with their main players there.

Iran – Iran announced this week their provisional roster for the World Cup. They included names like Hashemian and Ali Karimi who are still recovering from injuries.

Mexico – In their World Cup preparation, Mexico just ended their first week of tactical training. However they won’t be counting on their “European” players until late in May.
