ehhhh, Renato poor judgement. And may this be a lesson to the team, 1-0 is not a lock, NT’s strenghs are in possession of ball, not hunkering down and counter style. Sure with a lead, you are slightly less aggressive but I’ve found all Portugal teams gear down too much, they need to kill the game.

Hopefully the lessons they’be been dealt this tourny sink in fast, cause here comes Chile and they are playing solid.

I think Greg on the other blog said it best. We need to get rid of the coach IMMEDIATELY.
Why he would make such wholesale changes to the team when we needed a win just defies logic.
And, to make the comment after the game that they did what they planned which was to qualify is incredible. Once again we have the talent but not the coaching to take advantage of it.
I was very proud of how hard our boys played. Gambia and Mexico were very difficult teams. Too bad the coach was watching another sport…
