I wasn't tring to correct you, sorry Greg. I was just thinking loud... I mean, although he isn't a winger per se, he can play wide.
Mostly he supports attack, like the goal you post. Which was a very good goal, considering his age and that it was the UEFA 2nd leg.

Come to think of it, all our dangerous players are attack supporters... Wingers, attacking mids, etc... What we still don't have (I wonder if we'll ever have one - maybe it'd never fit in...) is a cold blooded striker, that doesn't play shit but scores like hell... ;-)

When I was referring to him as a winger, it was more in the vein of a wing-back, like Bosingwa, not like Ronny, Nani, or Quares.

Pereirinha is my favourite for the team of the Future... He's an attacking mid but not a winger. He's perfect to play with 2 strikers. He also plays right-back, I think.
Actually, I think that's where he started and then was tested a bit more up-front. You can see he's not a winger but he attacks very well and builds a lot as well.
Latelly, the trend has been to adjust average wingers - considering we always have a million of them - into good full-backs. Miguel and Bosingwa are two very good examples - because of this, they attack/support a lot when playing right-back. Plus, they have lungs and legs that never get tired...
With Pereirinha was the opposite, I think - he was too good to be a full-back and could actually have a role in midfield, not just on the flanks.
I think...
