Machester accepted the bid and allow Real Madrid to talk to Ronaldo:

There you have it. Can he now please clear his head of all this transfer nonsense and show up in September for the games against Denmark and Hungary completely focused on the job at hand ?!

This is only news for me because it relates to our National Team. Don’t expect any posts on the lad’s ins and outs of hot babes puss… arms.

In terms of transfers I’d like to be posting in the near future about suitable clubs for Maniche, Deco, Carvalho and Quaresma. If all of them can find clubs that have them playing in the starting eleven it would surely mean a lot for the Selecção.

Yeah, here’s what I’m predicting & kinda hoping those dudes clubs in the future.

Deco/Carvalho – Inter
Maniche – Benfica, maybe, would be nice to see him back in Portugal, the only place where he settled real well.
Quaresma – Any mid-table team anywhere. I don’t get why he snubbed that move to Genoa.

Agree with you Toodles. Except that in Portugal the only club that could have Maniche “walk the line” is Porto, i.e., keep him well behaved.

True, Miguel, but as a Benfiquista, it would be a nice coup to get him playing for the team.

But still if he went to Porto, it wouldn’t be bad at all as it would make him (obviously) more likely to get called up. Actually, scratch that. I’m sure Queiroz will probably call up someone like Sa Pinto or Fernando Couto (i know they’re retired…izz a joke), by the way things are going.

Agreed – I’m glad this Ronaldo deal took place now rather than in August leading up to the Denmark game. Now CR has a couple of months to rest up, count his money, and then get focused on getting Portugal through to the World Cup.

Yeah Toodles. He would make a difference in Benfica’s midfield. Especially since Katso is leaving. I’d prefer it as well because I want him to play and I can’t see him at Porto take the place of Jesualdo Ferreira’s boys Fernando, Meireles and Lucho, even if I think he is better then any of them. My point is only focused on Maniche’s volatile temper and what a “soft” club with all the media attention like Benfica could do to it. I say “soft” because you will easily find a player yapping to the press on what goes on in the locker with no apparent consequence by the club. It irritates the shit out of me!

Yeah, no doubt, Miguel.

I tell you what though,I haven’t seen that many Maniche interviews of press conferences, but from the few I’ve actually seen he doesn’t seem like a bad guy at all.
Is he just a complete prick behind closed doors?

What, no post today about how we blow and dropped 6 places in the FIFA rankings? Ughhhhhhhh. When does Liedson become Portuguese so that he can maybe finally resolve the lack goals scored?
